The extra curricular opportunities are endless at St Brigid's!

Study Slam

Study Slam is a teacher supported program where you can seek help with outstanding school work and/or personal study. It helps strengthen your revision skills and can provide a safe, focused environment for study.

Study Slam is open to any student, across all year levels and takes place in the Senior Study Centre. It runs from 3:30pm to 4:30pm Monday to Friday every week.

 

 

 

 

The Lions Club of Horsham and the Lions Clubs of the V2 District are holding a face-to-face District Convention in the Horsham Town Hall in November. With Horsham being the Heart of the Wimmera the organisers are inviting students in Years 7 to 9 to create/design an artwork to be transferred onto the Convention Bags, the theme of the artwork should:

1. Represent the local community and/or

2. Represent the wider Wimmera Community and/or

3. Demonstrate what your community means to you

A winner will be selected from each participating school and a prize will be given to the winning student at each school. The Lions Club will judge the winning artworks at their September Dinner Meeting (22/09/2022) and notify schools of the winners via email the following day.

Artworks produced should be no larger than A4 size and must be labelled with the your name and school on the artwork.

If you are interested in participating in this competition, please email Mrs Dooling (mdooling@stbc.vic.edu.au) and submit your entry by no later than 14 September.

 

Grampians Writers Short Story Competition.

Students are invited to submit entries for the Grampians Writers Short Story Competition. The theme of your short story should be 'Dream'. This can be interpreted in any way you like! Entry is free!

Categories:

* Year 7 - 9 (1,000 words maximum)

* Year 10 - 12 (1,500 words maximum)

Prizes for each category:

* Year 7 - 9: First $100.00, Second $ 50.00, Highly Commended Certificate

* Year 10 - 12: First $100.00, Second $ 50.00, Highly Commended Certificate

Prizes will be selected by judges from all entries by local writers to encourage resident writers in the Grampians Region.

Entries must be submitted by 14th October, 2022
