Robotics Incursion - Museums Victoria

In Robotics last week, we learned how to program miniature robots without touching them. We got an iPad so we could connect to the robot so they could move. There were these puzzle pieces that we could move on the iPad to make it move. You got the puzzle pieces, and you connected them to the start button. Then you pressed the play button, and the robot would move. It was really fun, and I enjoyed it a lot.

We say a BIG thank you to Scienceworks for providing the iPads and the robots.

On Monday 5th September, we went to Robotics. The Grade 3/4s got to control a robot by coding. The robot was small and blue. It was a bit stressful at the start but once you got used to it, it’s all okay!

We worked in partners. I think it was good to work in partners because sometimes the partner you were working with finds out new things to code.

It was a fun activity and I would do it again if I could. I think that the robot we used was cute. Bye!

Drama Production Photos

These photos didn't make it into our last newsletter, you can see how much the students enjoyed the experience.

Recently the drama students performed for their friends and families. In all there were 7 plays performed by 24 students. I would like to thank all the parents for their support and make particular mention of Mike Kolody for his amazing set constructions.

The students worked really hard on learning their lines and did a great job of developing their characters. I knew that they were truly engaged when they started coming up to and suggesting ways that their character might move or speak.
