National Science Week

Scientific knowledge allows individuals to develop new technologies that we use every day, solve problems, how to think analytically, and make informed decisions.

Students at Marian College have many opportunities to participate in Science in a variety of settings. National Science Week was held on the 15th-19th of August this year. It was wonderful to see so many students from across all year levels participate in the fun Science experiments during National Science Week. Students and staff thoroughly enjoyed making grass heads, kaleidoscopes, coloured sand jars, terrariums, and lava lamps.

Big Science Competition

The Big Science Competition was held in May, with many students from across the year levels participating in this challenging competition.

The Big Science Competition is a 50 minute, multiple choice competition that tests student’s science knowledge, critical thinking and problem solving skills in a variety of scientific disciplines.

We would like to congratulate all students who participated.
