Faith and Mission

Marian news Community - Kildare Ministries CST by Gauri Vasishat  Year 8 Report

In Religious Education this term, we have been learning about the Kildare Ministries Community and how they have helped others. Our learning intentions have been to identify the purpose of a community and to understand the responsibilities of a community.

We have also been learning about how the Kildare Ministries have been doing education and community works. There are 3 Community works.

Presentation Family Centre is a Not for Profit charitable organisation. We exist to provide holidays, retreats and programs to families and carers who need it most. Located at Balnarring Beach on the Mornington Peninsula

The Year 8s have been researching the Brigidine heritage by identifying signs & symbols related to our logo & motto as well as looking at our Irish heritage including Daniel Delany and the 6 nuns who reimagined the Brigidine tradition in Tullow in 1807.

Our class has also looked at the way we are all part of our school community, and how we all play a role in that. We identified how us as individual students may also belong to other communities outside of school as well, whether that’s a church group or a sporting club. Finally, we have learnt about the way that we can help in a community or be part of one to help those in need.
