COMMUNITY NEWS

In Term 4 2022, Castlefield Community Centre is going to run a playgroup for parents and carers with children 0 to 6 years who have additional needs such as a disability,  chronic medical condition or developmental delay, at no cost.   It would be great if you could support this valuable program by raising community awareness of this program running. Perhaps you have eligible families that would be interested in attending.

The playgroup will focus on both the carers and the children.

For the children- Appropriate activities will be prepared by a facilitator. Many open-ended activities will be provided and a short group time will include songs and a story for the children.

For the carers/parents-In consultation with the parents/carers, activities and guest speakers will be organized which may include relaxation, health, craft, information and local support. There is an option to do this outside the playgroup hours without the children.

This playgroup will provide an opportunity for carers and children to make connections and feel part of a community. The facilitator’s name is Christie

she has extensive experience working with families. She holds a dual Diploma along with working with children's check and first aid.

Don’t hesitate to contact Christie for more information, on Playgroup@bayciss.org.au or Castlefield Community Centre on 90683882.
