The school continues to strive towards creating a culture of excellence where improvements in teaching and learning are constantly realised. We are committed to establishing a rich learning culture and maintaining an environment of inclusion and diversity, where all students are provided with support and opportunities to achieve success. This term students have been fortunate to participate in competitive sports, taking advantage of the reasonably good weather.

Last year, 95 % of Merrylands High School students who have successfully graduated from the U@Uni Academy started their university journey at UTS this year.

NAIDOC Week - Be Brave, Make Change was celebrated at school with both classroom and non-classroom activities and ended with Aboriginal traditional sports. Students and staff participated in this event with positive participation.

The school has completed the installation of a 100 KW Solar system which will help reduce the energy consumption from the electricity grid. The image below displays the power that is being generated.

The energy generated by the Solar Panels on 21st September (a cloudy day)  at 2.50 pm was 8.97 KW. Hopefully, the school saves more on electricity in Summer with plenty of sunshine.

Once again, I would like to pass my sincere thanks to graduating Year 12s, their parents, the staff of the school, and the school community for supporting the school and their child in their education at Merrylands High School.

Enjoy the Term 3 holidays
