The 2014 Festival of Music Performance Troupe - Year 6/7

Do you like to sing, dance or act? Want to try out for a solo in ‘Take to the Sky’.  Are you in Year 6/7? Want to try something new and challenging?Everyone is welcome!  Then the Festival of Music Performance Troupe is for you!

Audition bookings open on Monday, February 10, 2014!  Audition bookings close on Friday, March 7, 2014. Weekly rehearsals are held at 3 locations across the metropolitan area:North - Parafield Gardens Primary on Tuesdays Central - Gilles Street Primary on Wednesdays South - Darlington Primary on Thursdays.  Rehearsals are from 4.15 - 5.45 pm. There will also be a few Sunday workshops.  Each troupe will be involved in 4 performances accompanying the massed choirs at the Festival Theatre between the 9th and 19th September, 2014.

Helen O'Grady Drama Academy Free Session 

Kids everywhere are invited to get away from the TV and their iPads and come and ‘Give drama a go’ for a free session of their acclaimed drama programme which aims to create confidence, self-esteem, communication and great social skills in its students.  These free come ‘n’ try sessions will be taking place at Findon on Wednesday 26 February from: 

4 – 5pm for Lower Primary 

5 – 6pm for Upper Primary 

6 – 7pm for Youth Theatre

The classes take place at the Findon Community Centre, 222 Findon Road. Principal of Helen O’Grady Drama Academy School Adelaide, Zita Splawinski says that the weekly drama classes aimed at 5 – 17 year olds are a unique, developmental drama programme which influences and empowers children. "Our classes bring together so many wonderful elements - fun, humour, skill, interaction, energy, camaraderie, speech, quirkiness, improvisation, positivity, performance, sharing.... the list is endless!" Blue Light Disco Cancellation Friday 21st February

Due to Structural damage at the Woodville Town Hall , Westside Blue Light has had to cancel the Blue Light Disco this Friday (21/2/14). We apologise for any inconvenience. We hope to see you at the next disco on Friday 4 April.
