Year 7 & Year 8
The Year 7 and 8 students enjoyed a wonderful opportunity to join their Dads and father figures on Thursday 1st September to have brekky in the Cover Assembly Space for Fathers Day 2022.
It proved to be a wonderful TEAM effort as our amazing Pastoral Care Group Representatives held numerous meetings to organise their thoughts and ideas for this special event to make it an engaging and fun time for all. From Year 8 we had Yazden Omid, Jazmine McKeown and Sean Mulligan and the Year 7s included Lilly Russell, Torah Walton and Tahlia Patten. Collectively they decided to organise games to play, a Photo Booth for some 'happy snaps' and Sean also created an excellently produced video to watch, as the young and older people alike enjoyed their bacon/egg burgers and a cuppa for brekky.
The team effort also included numerous Teachers and Education Assistants who gave their time to provide this positive opportunity for our community to gather. Thanks also to our amazing PCG Representatives for arriving to help (some as early as 6:45am) and to the staff who worked together to ensure the morning was such a great success.
A reminder to all our Year 7 students that they will be required to continue to work towards completing their Christian Service entitled ‘Living like Jesus’ during the holidays. For this service learning opportunity, students are required to complete a minimum of activities (the minimum equivalent of 10 hours) on the ‘Living like Jesus’ grid. The activities are based around service in the home so helping out the family during the holidays is the perfect opportunity. Students will have until November 29th to complete their chosen activities and submit the completed grid and service reflection.
We will finish our busy term with a Middle School Assembly on Wednesday 21st September in the Covered Assembly Space which will be organised and run by our Year 7 and 8 House Representatives. Our students will be reminded at this time that Term 4 will require the Summer Uniform to be worn to school so please ensure this is checked during the holidays. I hope all students have an enjoyable week ten and a fun holiday and come back refreshed for an exciting Term 4.
