Parents and Friends

With Term 3 nearly over the Parents and Friends committee has had a very busy 2022 so far. In the past few months, we have seen.

  • March - Our inaugural Tractor Pull was such a success. Being our first we are blown away by the amount of support and with the help of the Elmore Events Centre, it's sure to only grow and be on everyone's calendar. The PnF ran a food tent and bar along with a team of members running the event with the Elmore Events Centre.
  • March - The Elmore Summer Send Off BnS Ball saw helpers in the kitchen, bar and clean-up crew over the day's event. From preparing and serving food throughout the evening and breakfast to serving drinks from the bar and cleaning up and packing up on Sunday.
  • August - Golf + High Tea Day - This event is always a highlight. Held at the Rochester Golf Club and this year the guest speaker was Walt Collins for the High Tea. 19 teams enjoying 18 holes of golf and food and drinks taken out via the buggy. On offer were pizza, sausages, and hamburgers and the ladies indulged in plates of slices, sandwiches and scones and jam with pots of tea and the golf club running the bar. The end of the day was a very successful auction with roast rolls on offer. The car park was so full they had to park out on the road.
  • August - The 2022 Debutante Ball -  This event is on rotation and every 3 years it's   St. Joseph's turn. It's being held tonight at the Rochester Shire Hall and it's sure to be a grand event with 10 beautiful girls and their partners being presented.

Other events during the year helping the school out are BBQs lunches, catering for funerals in the parish hall and working bees.

Are you interested in any of the above events? If or have an interest in being involved please reach out to the school or anyone on the committee. You do not have to be part of the committee to be involved in any of the school projects, you just need a smile.

Don't forget our meetings are a great way to meet new families and have privy to what is going on in the school to help create a better space for our children.

  • Next meeting: Wednesday 31st August @ 7.00pm

The best part of all this hard work is being able to help the school with purchases. So far we have helped with recycling bins in every classroom, sand toys, and sporting equipment just to name a few and we are planning on some exciting items for the school shortly.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE that has helped so far, without your help being little or big it does not go unnoticed. And without you, we can not help the school.

Thank you

Allison - President
