Indigenous Literacy Day

To celebrate Indigenous Literacy Day, on September 7th, teachers read their favourite Aboriginal book to the students. Students got to visit new classrooms and hear from teachers they may have only seen in the playground. It was so wonderful to see all the teachers and students at Woodland Road Public School celebrating Aboriginal literacy.

Thank you to the Aboriginal Education Team for organising this event.

Kindergarten's Adventure to the Farm

On Wednesday 21st September, KB and KJ went on their first ever excursion to Calmsley Hill City Farm. We got to see farm animals such as pigs, sheep, cows and chickens, as well as other animals like lizards, turtles, peacocks and koalas. We rode on a real farm tractor and milked a cow. We had heaps of fun and also learnt about farm animals and their jobs on the farm.
