EMBRACE Kids Special  Screening

EMBRACE: KIDS - Wednesday 16th November, 6:30 pm at Village Cinema Knox

We are super excited to bring this special opportunity to the Year 3-6 parents and students.

EMBRACE: KIDS is an uplifting film by Taryn Brumfitt (EMBRACE 2016) which brings together a vibrant collection of stories from young people and famous friends alike, who share their experiences about body image, bullying, gender identity, advocacy, representation and more. Embrace Kids explores the relationship children have with their bodies covering topics including social media, photoshopping, ‘fitspiration’, the influence of media and advertising on body image and role models.

See the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhQr2FjEeSM Over the holiday break I went to see this film with my daughter.   I walked out knowing that I needed to ensure that as many students at Karoo watched this amazing documentary.  In 2016 I watched EMBRACE (on Netflix now) which was life changing.  The same lady (Taryn Brumfitt) has created this feature documentary for school-aged kids. Rated G (recommended for 8 years + but suitable for all ages including teenagers)

So, we have booked out the cinema and KPS are presenting this special screening of Embrace Kids on Wednesday 16th November, 6:30 pm at Village Cinema Knox for Karoo parents and students in Year 3-6 (family and older siblings can come along as well!) - please note that all students must have a guardian.
