Accounting Week

The Accounting Week Work Experience program is being held this week, with five Year 10 students successfully applying to do placements at Swan Hill Accounting firms. We are very grateful for the ongoing commitment from these businesses and Murray Mallee LLEN to ensure this successful program is delivered each year.

VCE Summer School for 2023 Year 12 students

The University of Melbourne are running their annual VCE Summer School program between January 9th – 20th (mostly on-campus). Students will be able to develop study skills and receive tutoring for their Unit 3/4 subjects. Regional students can apply to live on campus during the program for a fee. Registrations close 22nd November and interested students need a letter of support from the school.

Scholarships

A reminder to Year 12 students that the Tresco & Chisel United Lodge applications close Sunday, January 8th. Four scholarships worth $5,000 each are available for any Year 12 student undertaking either University or TAFE courses in 2023.  More information is available from the Pathways Office.

Deakin Res Scholarship

Applications are now open for Deakin University residential scholarships. They are worth up to $12,000 toward rental costs and are open to domestic undergraduate students who satisfy one or more of the HEPPP eligibility criteria. Applications close on January 9th, 2023.

CASPer Test for Teaching Courses

Year 12 students are aware that one of Education course prerequisites is to sit the CASPer Test and they need to complete this test to be eligible for Round 1 offers. The next two dates are Sunday, November 13th at 1.00pm and Thursday, December 8th at 8.00pm

Full Time Apprenticeship and Other Employment Opportunities

Little Swans currently have both full-time and/or School Based Traineeships available. Training will be done on the job via a mix of online access and regular on site meetings as well as an extensive induction process. Applicants under 18 could be considered.
