With a new VCE English study design coming into effect next year, students moving into Years 10 and 11 must purchase the accompanying textbook in addition to their booklisted novels.

Each textbook is a comprehensive resource covering key aspects of the English course, including summaries of the various text types and strategies to assist with the writing process. The Year 11 textbook also includes sample responses for each of the assessed tasks.

English workbooks for Year 7 and Year 8 students in 2023

To promote essential literacy skills in our junior year levels, we will no longer be using the English Rules workbooks. Instead, students will utilise an online platform provided by SmartLab. 

Not only will this be easier for us to manage, it will also provide us with more detailed and relevant data about each student’s literacy needs. 

In addition to the relevant novels, please ensure that you add SmartLab to your booklist order:
