Preschool Transition to School

During the past 3 weeks, our 2023 Receptions participated in orientation visits to allow them to get to know the school spaces before they start. During these visits, they met some of the staff, enjoyed activities in the classroom and had a great time playing on the playground. They also stayed for lunch during their last visit which allowed them to experience a busy playtime in the yard.

As well as these visits, children who attend our Preschool have been regularly participating in school visits where they have played in the hall, picked vegetables from the garden, borrowed books from the library and even sold us some flowers so they could buy an ice block from the canteen.  They have been supported by some of our Year 5 students who have acted as mentors. 

We look forward to seeing them all again when they begin school next year.
