School Board Update

As a new WGV School Board member in 2022, I’ve learnt a lot about the work which goes on behind the scenes by the School teachers, support staff and leadership team to plan, deliver, monitor and continuously improve the education provided at our School.

Did you know:

  • The School has a Business Plan which sets the vision and strategies to achieve learning and teaching outcomes across 6 pillars – you can find it on the School website here
  • The School analyses performance on the Business Plan strategies and reports back to the Board at each meeting.
  • The Business Plan is reviewed every 3 years- and the school survey is part of this process.

The School Survey closes Monday 21 November at 4:00pm https://www.schoolsurvey.edu.au/s/KCPbJSwx – it only takes 5 minutes and getting your feedback will help the school better understand all families and student’s experiences and ideas for improvement.

If you have any questions on what the School Board does or would like to come along to the next meeting on 1 December at 4:30pm – please reach out to the five parent representatives (Daniel Gretton, Russell Nicholls, Megan Bankes, Lee McIntosh), or the school staff on the Board (Glenn Rondoni, Sam Tingle, Ellie Walker, Kate Reid).

Lost Property

We have some lost property in the front office that has yet to be retrieved by their owners. If any of the items photographed below belong to you, please collect them from our School Office.

This term we challenge you to crunch the rainbow for Crunch&Sip® by making a rainbow in your classroom. Eating different coloured fruits and vegetables provides lots of different vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals. Which is why crunching on a rainbow will help kids get the right balance of nutrients they need for a healthy body.
