Captains Report

Hello MWPS Community,

We hope everyone has had a great long weekend. The end of the year is fast approaching. Can you believe this is already Week 5? Graduation is getting closer, and the grade 6 students are currently deciding on what song they will be singing and dancing to for their celebration performance.

The school’s 50th anniversary is just around the corner, and we hope to see everyone from the past and present joining in with our very special celebration. The event will be held on Friday 18th November from 3.00pm to 6.30pm. On the night there will be lots of activities including mini games, petting zoos and food for all to enjoy as well as displays dating back to 1972.

To commemorate this special occasion each student has made a shield that will be displayed on the day. The shield will have their name, year level and what they like most about our school. We asked a few students what they would write.

Imogen (1R) - I like how our school is always getting bigger and better with all the construction.

Natasha (1M) - I like the playgrounds and we can play on them when we have our breaks.

Kaiden (4S) - I love the buddy bench and how people look out for us and ask if we want to play.

Gabriel (4S) - I love the oval because we get to play lots of ball games such as football and soccer.

Skylah (4L) – I love that our school is fun because we get to learn lots of cool stuff. Our school also gets free fresh fruit and vegetables. The carrots are the best!

Happy 50th birthday Melton West Primary School!

Have a great week everybody!

Noah and Angela
