CRICKET and SWIMMING

South Metro Region Cricket Premiers!

On Thursday, our boy's cricket team won the South Metro Region Finals.  The finals were played in Mt Eliza and our first game was our hardest game for the day.  We managed to win the next two preliminary games comfortably to qualify first in our pool.   We then defeated Hampton Primary School in the Grand final.  The scores were 196 to 142.

Highlights included Tom B taking 4 for 1 in an over and Cooper smashing 45 off an over in the grand final.

The next level is the Victorian State Championships.  This will be held on Thursday 1st December at Ross Gregory, Harry Trott and Ian Johnson Ovals, Aughtie Dve. St. Kilda.  We wish Milo, Archer, Sol, Max, Harvey, Thomas, Xavier, Ben, Kane and Jonas all the best for the finals.

St Louis Swimming Training and Carnival

Swimming Training starts next week.  It is open to anyone from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 to come down and swim laps.  If your child is a competent swimmer, it is also a good way to get in some practice for this year’s intra-school swimming carnival.  The dates are:

  • Wednesday 23rd November
  • Wednesday 30th November
  • Wednesday 7th December

Sessions will start at 7.00 am and parents transport their children to and from the venue.

On Tuesday 13 December we will be running our first ever St Louis Swimming Carnival.   The event will be held at Mentone Aquatic.  Students will participate in a variety of events including  the major strokes or our more proficient swimmers as well as novelty events.   Details will be out soon via operoo including a simple question regarding your child's swimming ability.
