The last few weeks have been busy for our Year 7 students. We have been so proud of the way the Year 7 students have engaged in the school community.
Crazy Hair Day
Raising money for Cystic Fibrosis
We had a large amount of Year 7 students take part in the Crazy Hair day on Friday 29 July. It was an amazing day and we congratulate all students who helped raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.
Attendance Ladder
All home groups are currently competing for a pizza lunch at the end of term.
The home group with the best attendance at the end of term will be rewarded with a delicious lunch.
The current leading home group is 748.
Athletics Carnival
Thursday 28 July
This was a wonderful day with over 300 Year 7 students attending their first ever Lilydale High School Athletics Day.
We congratulate all students who participated in a track or field event. It was so great to see so many Year 7 students participating and embracing the day. It was a successful and fun day had by all.

Year 7 Captains
In Year 7 Home Groups, we have recently been discussing what it means to have gratitude and to be thankful for what you have. We watched videos and had class discussions in our home group assemblies, touching on talking about your gratitude and not taking your lifestyle for granted.
Year 7's also had the opportunity to participate in our very first Athletics carnival as high school students. The day was enjoyed by all, with kids dressing up in house colours, and many taking home ribbons to commemorate the day. There was something to suit all, with sprints, long distance runs, jumping and strength events running for the whole day. I'm sure we all had a ball and are looking forward to winning next year.

Middle School Course Selection opens Monday 8 August at 9 am and closes Friday 12 August at 3 pm.
Students will find a link to the course selection software on the school website homepage and in their Compass News Feed on Monday morning. Students are to use their normal Compass log in details to access their course selection software.
After completing their selections, students are to save and print their selection form. A parent or guardian must sign this form before they hand a hard copy in to the Middle School Coordinators office.
If your son or daughter needs any assistance with this process, they should see a Middle School Coordinator during school hours prior to Friday 12 August.
