VIS Champions visit LHS students

Thursday 1 March

Students in the Year 9 and 10 Athlete Development Program were lucky enough to have Brooke Stratton and Linden Hall from the VIS come out and speak to them about their careers and how they have achieved the success they have.

Brooke is the current female long jump champion and Linden, the 1500M female champion.  They will both be competing at the upcoming Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

We wish them both the best of luck.

Year 10 Athlete Development Program

Last week, students in the Year 10 Athlete Development Program worked on their coaching skills with the French Exchange students, to teach them the skills of Australian Rules Football.

Yarra District Athletics

Well done to the 9 students from Mr Bourne’s Sports Coaching class who helped out at the Yarra District Athletics event on Thursday.  The students were involved in officiating and recording on various athletics events.

The students were Mason Bennett, Sam Horner, Neo Silfavan, Sampson Lambert, Will Wiggett, Emma Darke, Eve Shulver, Emma Giddings and Abbey Clarke.
