French Sister School Exchange

Au revoir mes amis et à bientôt!

Wow! The first part of our sister school exchange has just finished.  We have enjoyed the company of the 24 students and two teachers from Lycée Darchicourt who have spent the last two and a half weeks at Lilydale High School.

The French students have left Melbourne on a 28 degree day to journey home to France to arrive on a day where the maximum will be 7 degrees!  

In two and a half weeks thirteen LHS students and two teachers will be swapping our summer clothing for warm jackets and scarves to spend time with you.

We have an amazing community of people at LHS who are willing to share their lives and experiences with friends from France.  During the school program, they have visited the Melbourne Museum, ArtVo, Eureka Tower, Cook’s Cottage, the Victorian Market, the Sports Museum, Healesville Sanctuary, the Observation Wheel, Sealife Aquarium and the Shrine of Remembrance.

Host families, host students, and teachers from all curriculum areas have made this event an experience our visitors will not forget.  While at school they have helped out in a Year 9 French class, made Anzac biscuits, learnt the skills of Australian Rules football, visited the Reptile House to handle the reptiles and joined various classes with their host students.

Thanks again to the wonderful hosts and LHS staff who make this such an amazing program for LHS students and the students from Lycée Darchicourt in northern France.

Education Perfect Subscriptions

There are still many students who have yet to pay the $23.50 yearly subscription for Education Perfect.

The App is free to download, but there is a yearly subscription fee which must be paid to Education Perfect to enable students to access the program.

At the moment all students have access, however, your child has not yet paid the subscription. This payment may be made through Lilydale Books 9739 6186 until March 9.  After that date, the payment should be made to the Office at Lilydale High School.
