Year 7
Classroom Music
Students have recently been learning an introduction to using the keyboard, as well as the instruments of 'The Orchestra'.
Students in Ms Cumming’s Year 7 Music class have been playing music made popular on orchestral instruments such as; the Mario game theme, the “7 Years” keyboard riff by Lukas Graham, the Moana song “How Far I’ll Go” and the Star Wars theme.
Year 9
Core Music Performance
Students have recently been learning to perform in a group using communication, leadership and presentation skills.
Students worked together on ukulele, guitar, keyboards, bass guitars, drums and vocals to perform the Vance Joy song “Riptide”.
Year 11 VCE Music
Unit 1 Solo Performances
Students are working towards their first SAC for VCE Music. Students are assessed on their ability to present an informed performance to meet criteria including, accuracy and control, fluency, tone and stylistic choices, as well as presentation skills.
Students will be performing their first performance SAC on Tuesday 20 March and Wednesday 21 March in the PAC theatre at lunchtime and after school for individual assessment.
These performances are for assessors only, however, video of the performances will be available to the students for their performance folio.
Year 11 VCE Music
Unit 1 - VCAA Top Class Excursion
Students in the Year 11 Music class visited the Melbourne Recital Centre on Tuesday night, to see the 2017 VCE Music Performance VCAA Top Class event.
Students got to see many outstanding performances that were both engaging and exciting from students who received high achieving marks in their VCE Performance Examinations.
Students got an insight into the assessor’s advice, thoughts and ideas that will help them to make informed decisions in their future music performances.
