Canteen

Hi there!

welcome to another school year.   Term 1 has started and its full steam ahead in the canteen.  There have been a few changes over the holidays, both cosmetic and with the services we offer our students. Our newly painted kitchen looks clean & fresh, and the rearranged snack food area seems to be working well. 

We now have EFTPOS available in the canteen and the students are loving the convenience of this facility.  

Last year we undertook the arduous task of trying to obtain accreditation through the Australian School Canteen Association.  ASCA’s 5 Star Canteen Accreditation process includes staff competencies, canteen systems, quality products and services, client satisfaction, regulatory compliances, financial management and risk management. 

After completing all modules during Term 4, we are thrilled to announce that we passed all criteria and have been awarded with a 5 star accreditation rating.  This is a huge achievement and one that we hope our school community will also be proud of.

Volunteer duty letters were posted last week; if you haven’t received yours please let us know. Canteen Duty is from 9:30 till 1:30, and duties include assisting us with preparation, heating and serving of lunch orders, assisting with window sales at recess & lunch time, and some light cleaning.  If you would like to be added to our roster please contact the school.
