Cough, colds and flu season is almost in full swing. It is recommended even adolescents get the flu shot.

If your child has asthma which may only flare up with a cold now is the time to visit your GP and update your son’s asthma plan if you haven’t done so already.

Prior to school camps it is also a requirement to complete the school asthma camp & excursion form and upload it together with your asthma plan on CareMonkey. Parents can complete this form.

Please see attached document.

Adolescence with anaphylaxis are in a high risk group for a reaction as they start to venture out on their own to eat with friends. It is recommended they carry a current epiPen. Please see the ASCIA website for further information.

Students with diabetes require a specialised camp management plan which must be completed by your diabetes management team. They request at least a minimum of four weeks notice to complete this plan. Please contact your son’s coordinator who will give you the information regarding your son’s camp.
