BTA Production - Grease

Grease is the Word!

Congratulations to the cast and crew for successfully bringing to Shepparton the First Ever Better Together Alliance school production of GREASE.

Shepparton High School, Wanganui Park Secondary College, Mooroopna Secondary College and McGuire College combined forces to achieve 3 sold out performances, resulting in the need to put on a Saturday Matinee performance which was also over 75% attended.

Students and staff made life-long friendships and memories as they worked as a team, growing and developing their characters, dance skills, backstage skills and comradeship.

It was so exciting to be part of this auspicious event. Working as an Alliance gave students from all schools the opportunity to be part of a school production, which may not have necessarily run at their individual schools.

The added bonus of working with a professional Director added another dimension to the whole experience, not only for the students but also for staff as we all came away with extra skills be it performance or personal life skills.

The students worked hard to bring their characters to life. Everyone would agree that the dance routines were spectacular. Special thanks to Meg Cooney for teaching the students some very intricate cheer leading moves.

Many people worked behind the scenes to bring this massive extravaganza to fruition and without their commitment and passion, a project as elaborate as this would not have been possible. Thank you to all those who supported show be it in a small way or through hours of tireless work.
