Aged Care Visit

On Thursday 19th September, Year 1/2 students from the 'Create It' Inquiry group went to Uniting Age Well. We made bracelets, jewelry boxes, necklaces and cards to give the residents as a gift. The girls did some colouring with residents and the boys chatted to Michael (the Lifestyle Coordinator) and listened to a story read by a resident who used to be a teacher! Michael asked heaps of questions regarding our favourite sports, what footy team we go for, what our backgrounds are and what hobbies we have. We had yummy food including donuts! We also played a hula hoop competition, Max was the champion and he won a HUGE block of Dairy Milk chocolate!

Max: My favourite part was listening to the story and chatting to the oldies.

James L: My favourite part was when Michael asked us questions.

Ada: My favourite part was the donuts and lemonade!

Ava B: My favourite part was talking to an elderly lady about nail polish.

Angeline: My favourite part was the hula hoop competition!

Elena: My favourite part was when I was dancing with Merl who was 96 years old!

Hoang-Khang: My favourite part was walking over the bridge that goes over Geelong Road.

Elwood: My favourite part was counting to 96 with Merl who was 96 years old.

Charlie: My favourite part was eating donuts, bananas, Doritos and drinking lemonade.
