Book Week

Book Week 2021

The theme for this year’s Book Week was Old worlds, New worlds, Other Worlds.

Although we were unable to be face to face, we celebrated virtually, and boy, did we do it in Windang style!

We began the week by snapping ourselves in a quirky location, reading our favourite books. The number of pictures we received, truly established what extremely courageous students we have at Windang!

On Tuesday, we had some mystery teachers read us books from the Children’s Book Council of Australia and it was well-defined that our students know the school teachers and staff super well.

We hit Wednesday with a big BANG – full of wonderful costumes from the future, past and present. There was also a list of crafty activities that went alongside each CBCA shortlisted Book.

On Thursday, we played a Kahoot/Quiz and found out that Miss Scarlett C is our Book Worm with a total of 95% correct answers, and to end what an amazing week we had, we created our own monster from anOTHER world on Friday.

We have been super busy looking and reading at all the fantastic creations you made, that Ms Papesch and myself could not pick who to give prizes out to. We decided to put every student’s name into a tub and pick out our Book Week 2021 prize Winners.

CONGRATULATIONS to all our lucky prize winners:
