Message from Rhonda Fletcher

I would like to thank all of our school community for your hard work over the past few weeks in supporting both your child and our school staff during these difficult times. As you are aware, with the lockdown continuing until the end of term, remote and flexible learning continues. Please contact us should you wish to discuss your child’s learning and need for additional support at this time.

School Holidays are from Mon 20th September – Friday 1st October. During this time students are not expected to do any school work and teachers will not be providing activities for the students to complete. It is a time for you to have a rest from learning from home.

At this stage we have no information as to whether school will resume at the start of Term 4. Like you, I wait for the Premier’s announcements each day and then receive further clarification from the Department of Education and Training before I can let you know what is happening with our students and their schooling. I hope that our students can return to school as soon as it is been deemed safe for them to do so.

When you come to school for any reason.      We now have QR codes displayed at the front entrance and office for parents, carers and visitors to our school to check-in when they enter the school buildings. This is a requirement by the Department of Education and Victorian Government. If you are coming into the school building you must check-in when you enter.

I have also included in this newsletter a copy of a message we sent out in support of our Afghani families during this time of distress in their community. Our thoughts go out to all families affected at this time.

Thanks,

Rhonda
