From our Year 5/6

Make A Difference Project

This term in Year 5/6, we have been working on a Civics and Citizenship Unit where we have found out about Australia’s Democratic system of government, what it means to be a good citizen, and that we all have a voice and can make a difference.

At the same time, we’ve been learning about the sacrament of Confirmation (which we hope to receive very soon). We know that at Confirmation we become like the very first disciples who received the Holy Spirit and then went out to spread the news about Jesus everywhere through their actions.

So putting all the parts of our learning together, we know that as Australians we need to look after each other, and through the Holy Spirit we are called to use our gifts to try and make a difference in the world.

During the last few weeks the 5/6s worked in groups and started a Make A Difference Project. We have come up with lots of different ideas to try and spread love and happiness, especially at the moment with Covid restrictions.

Keep watching the newsletters during next term for updates on our ideas and how you can get involved to spread some love.

Here is an explanation of some of our ideas. We hope that you will take part and join in where you can.
