To the St Brigid's School Community,
I would like to congratulate the following staff on their recent appointments. Earlier this term we advertised a permanent and a contract position for St Brigid's School. Katie Day was successful in winning the permanent teaching position with us and Katie Ozgo was successful in winning the contract position for 2022. Please join us in CONGRATULATING both these amazing teachers and we look forward to them continuing to share their knowledge and skills with the community. We will also welcome Mr Anthony to our school in the role of Chaplain. Mr Anthony will be working in classrooms and supporting all students in the school.
At our last school board, we approved a few policies, these will be made available shortly on the school website.
Our Sports day is coming up in week 10 on Wednesday, unfortunately once again we have to follow the directions from the Government and Catholic Education South Australia we are not able to have parents on site. We will take lots of photos and they will be made available on Facebook, Instagram and Seesaw.
Next term we are extremely excited about some physical education activities we have arranged for term 4. We have been very fortunate to have been chosen to work with One Culture in Kilburn - our year 5 students will participate in this program working with Coaches and Adelaide United Soccer Players. We have Ride a Bike program for our Reception to Year 2 students, Gymnastics and Parkour for our Years 3 and 4 and the Year 6 students will participate in an Aquatics Day. All students will have an opportunity to participate in Swimming Safety (4 days) at the end of the year. More information will follow for each year level next term.
