Mission Australia has announced that their Fitzroy-based award winning restaurant and social enterprise, Charcoal Lane will close its doors permanently on 16 September 2021.

Since 2009, Charcoal Lane has combined a world renowned restaurant, specialising in seasonally driven native flavours, with a comprehensive training program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people; connecting them to food from this land, cultural experiences through the restaurant and catering operations, and one another.

Our students were fortunate to participate in an online incursion in 2020.
