Lockdown #6
The rollercoaster continues....
Please ensure that you are receiving and reading the regular updates being sent out. If you are not getting these, please contact the school to confirm your email address.
I also welcome feedback from parents on our Online Teaching Platform. We have made some changes, like including 'Specialists Thursday'. I am happy to consider any suggestions that could improve what we do. When doing this please consider that what might be great for a single child may well be impracticable for a whole class or logistically impossible for a teacher.
Parent / Carers Opinion Survey
This annual survey has been sent out to parents/carers with a link and a PIN to use for access. The survey will be open until 22 August.
WE WANT OUR PARENTS/CARERS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!
We only have 15% response so far so please take the time complete this survey.
TeamKids
TeamKids continue to provide a service during the lockdown. Check them out on www.teamkids.com.au
Changed Dates
Performance Showcase will now be on Thursday 16 September (last week of term). Please put this date in your diaries as it will be a great way to have the community together and to show off the skills of our students. Looking for a big (covid approved) crowd!!
Wakakirri has been pushed back to October, date to be determined. We will let you know when we know.
Greening the School
As mentioned in the last newsletter we have a Planting Working Bee on Saturday 21 August, where we will fix the soil, plant and mulch a number of the priority garden beds in the school. We aim to continue with this unless restrictions prevent us from doing so.
Please encourage your children to come too - always great to have them contributing to their school environment.
Street Manners
There has been some repeated cases of bad manners and behaviour around the street car parking, particularly around the 2 minute zone. Can I remind parents that young children are impressionable and they mimic everything that they hear and see from their parents. Please be a role model of patience and respect to each other. Thank you.
