From the Principal

It has been a particularly busy term with students involved in a broad range of activities which will be evident as you read through this newsletter.

As you are aware our capital works project has been completed with some defects still to be addressed.  We are close to engaging a landscaping company to begin major works at the front to the school.

Congratulations to Ashleigh Harris and Morgan Edwards who were successful in their nomination for student representatives on School Council.  It was wonderful to have so much interest and I thank all students who expressed interest and who participated in the election process.

School Review – Term 4 2018

This year we will complete our 4 year review.  The review is set for term 4.  However, we are well underway with preparations.  School Council has attended training and I have attended professional development regarding the process and also in data analysis.  A reviewer will be appointed to us soon.

A key feature of the new model of school review is the increased role of Pre-Review Self-Evaluation (PRSE) in determining the length and focus of each review.  Completing a strong PRSE with input from the whole school community is critical to gaining the full benefit from a school review.

We will being seeking your input and have this section completed by the end of term 3.

At least four weeks prior to Validation Day, we will need to provide electronic copies of:

  • all school policies/documentation for the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) Minimum Standards check to the reviewer
  • the endorsed Pre-Review Self-Evaluation Report to the school review panel, along with other data and information that will inform the review.
