Visual Arts Teachers

The Prep students have been thinking hard about how they can change an oval shape to something different using their own imagination. They have used a whole range of materials that were saved from going to landfill, and re-purposed them to create something new. Their imaginings are very cute and well thought out. Hopefully you saw more of these at the Art Show, there were many wonderful creations. Featured here are Lucas & Zara PA, Shayla & Hena PB, Ryan and Eve PC and Ethan and Phoebe PH.

Thank you to all the families who took time to create the flowers for the Art Show, the results were amazing! There are still a few spaces left on the wall for any family who would still like to submit their family history. (Approximately 6-8 more spaces)

Well done to all our student exhibitors at the Art Show. It was evident by the big smiles on your faces, the pride you had in showing your families and friends all your hard work. We hope that our Kingswood Community loved seeing their children's fantastic results.  Well done to the students and thank you for the support from our families.

Memories of Visual Arts from our Soon-to-Graduate Year Six students.

Over the past 7 years, art has been one of my favourite subjects. From making paper animals to making clay animals and learning cross stitch. It has been long journey that I will always remember!

Over the past seven years art has taught me skills I could use in the future. Visual Arts is a great way to also relax and talk with friends.

Visual Arts has always been my favourite subject from Prep. I like it because you get to be creative and you get to do things your way, not how everyone else is doing it or how the teacher wants you to do it. There’s no right or wrong on what your art looks like and when you’ve finished, everyone’s is different and unique.

Most subjects are basic and simple, but Art allows me to be creative. In Prep Grade 1, 2 and 3 I was doing easy drawings and crayon paintings. But in grade 4-6 I found out what art really was. Art is fun!

Visual Arts meant to me to have fun and use your imagination to create. Visual Arts helped my arts skills improve. Over the years I have done cross stitch, Portraits, Clay and more and that has expanded my knowledge of art. From the beginnings of Prep all the way to Year 6 it has been a great experience.

Art has always been my absolute favourite specialist as it makes me feel relaxed and is something I enjoy. I think I have enjoyed it a lot because we have done lots of different kinds of art, and stepped out of our comfort zone. My favourite thing we have done was definitely the portraits, because I love to draw and always practise in my spare time.
