Prep Transition Program Day 2

On Tuesday 16th October, the 2019 Prep students had their second session of the Prep Transition Program.  The session focused on English related skills such as letter ID.  The next session will be a Mathematics focus on Tuesday 20th November at 9:15am.  

PE change

Prep E and Year 4G need to wear their Sport Uniform on Monday 22 October and Thursday 25 October.

Life Education

The Life Education van will be visiting our school from 25th-31st October.  Year levels will be timetabled to attend a learning opportunity in the van with the classroom teacher. 

The following modules will be explored:

Year 1-Ready Steady Go

Year 2-Growing Good Friends

Year 3-All Systems Go

Year 4-Bcyberwise

Year 5-Relate, Respect, Connect

Year 6-Relate, Respect, Connect

A Parent Information Session has been scheduled for Monday 26th October from 9:00-9:30am inside the van.

The purpose of the Parent Information Session is to:

-learn about the Life Education experience in the Mobile Learning Centre

-meet the trained health educator

-engage in the learning content of the programs

-understand the importance of Life Education and the vision through education

-understand the program outcomes and the alignment to the Victorian Curriculum

-assist in developing open communication opportunities with your child in relation to their -experience with Life Education

-meet Healthy Harold.

P-2 Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons for Prep-2 students will commence on Monday 29th October.  The lessons will be intensive for the duration of the week at MSAC.  The lesson times are as follows:

Grade 2-12.00-12.45pm 

Grade 1-2.45-1.30pm 

Prep-1.30pm-2.15pm  

Please ensure that all clothing is labelled and your child/ren have their Galilee swim cap which will be given out to Prep and new families before lessons.

Instrumental Lessons 2019

If your child is interested in beginning lessons for:

Drums, Violin, Guitar, Keyboard or Voice, please contact Miss Carnovale in Term 1 2019 at ccarnovale@gsmelbournesth.catholic.edu.au with your instrument preference and choice or either individual or paired lessons. 

We would love to see you at our Drums. Keyboard, Guitar and Violin soiree on Tuesday 20th November in the school hall from 5-7pm and Voice soiree on Thursday 22nd November in the school hall from 5-7pm.
