2020 Enrolment Confirmation & Parent Charges

2020 Enrolment Confirmation and Parent Charges (fees) will open in Compass next week.  Confirmation and payment will be made via the Compass Parent Portal – Course Confirmation/School payments.

Compass is an easy and efficient method of payment including the ability to setup payment instalment plans and complete annual permission notices.  We recommend you use this method to confirm your child’s enrolment and make payments.

For alternative payment methods (cash/cheque), please complete the Course Confirmation for each student via Compass and select ‘pay in person at the school’.  Print the payment summary and present at the school office for payment.  If you need assistance with Compass, please contact the school office for assistance.

Wheelers Hill Primary School makes every effort to ensure parent payments are affordable to all parents.  However, the school appreciates that families may sometimes experience financial difficulty in meeting payment requests. A number of support options are available to parents who have difficulty making payments including the school’s second–hand uniform sales or the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF).    If you have difficulty making payment, please contact our Business Manager (clark.larissa.l@edumail.vic.gov.au) to discuss possible support options and payment arrangements.  Any record of payments or contributions is confidential.

Student Book Pack Collection

Once enrolment has been confirmed on Compass, and fees paid (payment in full or instalment), parents are able to collect student books packs from the school library.

2020 Student Book Pack Collection dates & times:

  • 28 January (1:00pm - 4:00pm)
  • 29 January (9:00am – 4:00pm)

**Please note: packs that have not been collected from library and have been paid for, will be distributed to the students’ classroom during the first week of term 1. The items will be sent home with students to be labelled at home and returned to school the following day.

Pre-paid Levies (Excursions, Athletics, Interschool Sports)

Due to changes in DET policy, the 2020 Parent Charges will not have the option to prepay levies for Excursions, Athletics Carnival or Interschool sports.

Next year, payment will be required at the time of providing consent for Compass events.

Please note that once an event closes in Compass, we are unable to accept late payment or consent.  This is to allow enough time to confirm bookings, transport and staff/student safety.

Camps, Sports, Excursion Fund (CSEF)

If you have recently received a Health Care Card or Pension Card, you may be eligible for CSEF funding of $125 per student provided by the Department of Education & Training.  Funds can be used for excursions, camps and sporting activities.

If you have not yet applied and are the holder of one of these cards, please come to the school office to complete an application as soon as possible.

If you have previously applied and received CSEF funds, you do not need to reapply for 2020. Any unspent CSEF funds will be allocated in 2020 towards Camps, Excursions or sporting activities.

2020 Level 5 & 6 Camp

Arrangements are currently being finalised for the Level 5 & 6 Camp to be held in March 2020.

Further details will to be sent home shortly, along with flexible payment options via Compass.

For families with Health Care Cards and who qualify for CSEF can use these funds  against the cost of the camp.  Further details will be available soon.
