School Captain Announcement

Congratulations to the following students who were elected school and vice captains for 2020.

School Captains 2020 :                 Amber Shums

These students were elected by their peers in Years 3-5 and teachers after presenting a persuasive speech on why they would be the best choice for school captain. Next week the election process for the House Captains commences. Good luck to all the students involved who have nominated for House Captain. 

Upcoming Transition Days

Today is the first of three transition days which aim to prepare and inform our students about the year level they will be in for 2020. The session today and next Friday will involve students spending a session in the afternoon in the year level above with this year's teachers. These teachers will not necessarily be their teachers and classes for 2020. 

The whole school transition day will be held on Tuesday 10th December. On this day students will find out their teacher and class for 2020. Students will bring home a note on this day letting parents know who their teacher is and what friends they have in their class for next year.

Christmas Concert

The Christmas Concert this year will take place on Thursday 12th December starting at 5pm with the actual concert starting at 6.30pm sharp. A couple of food vendors will also be present and will be selling food from 5pm. Families are also invited to bring along picnic blankets, chairs and their own food for the evening as well. Students will sing a number of fun and exciting Christmas songs and it should be a lovely way to finish off the school year. More information will be available on Compass in the next couple of weeks. 

Book Fair

Thanks to Lamia Bouazza and Jo White for running another successful book fair in the library over the last week. Thanks to your support, Scholastic (as part of their commission) was able to supply the school with $1600 worth of new books for the library which will be of great benefit to our students. 

Enrolments and Exits 2020

 With the exception of Year 6 students, please notify the school office if your child/children will not be attending our school next year. This will help us in our planning for classrooms and teachers for 2020. Your prompt reply would be greatly appreciated.
