Reflecting on Father's Day

Dear friends,

On the first Sunday of September, we celebrate Father’s Day. It is a day for each one of us to honour our fathers and show our gratitude to them for all the sacrifices they have made and are offering for their families and the love that they show to each one of us.

We know that what we are doing and offering to them is very little, only a small gesture of our gratitude and love. We can offer them a gift, big or small, but the best gift that we can offer them is the best of ourselves.

We know that we can do very little, but God, our Father, can do so much for them and for all of us. So, do not forget to pray for your father that our Heavenly Father will bless all the fathers in the world.

Heavenly Father, Bless all the fathers in the world. Father, we ask that You guide them to be good role models and loving to their children. We also ask that You help them to be a father like You. Give them grace and patience to handle situations in a loving way.

Dear Friends, In the Lord’s Prayer, we are privileged to call God, our Father in heaven, so do not forget to come to the Lord this First Sunday of September and other Sundays, the Day of the Lord, to honour our Heavenly Father and give thanks to Him for all the blessings he grants upon our lives and especially upon our earthly fathers.

Lord, help us to know that You, our heavenly Father, are always close to us and waiting for us to come and receive your blessing. Amen
