Library

Awards

Congratulations to Nithara Hetti-Arachchige (year 7) and Flynn Kennedy (year 8), who received our library awards for term 4.

Our library award recognises students who have displayed excellent reading habits and a strong engagement with the school library throughout the term.

Are you a Reading Ninja or would you be interested in writing reviews for the books you read?

Do you read in the library at lunchtimes? If so, we would love to see you and enter you into the draw for a bag of goodies.

If you are interested in contributing a book review or have any questions please speak to a member of the Library staff.

Library lunch time

book-club

Do you love reading?

Why not join our book-club!

The library will be running a library lunchtime book-club.

We will meet at lunchtime once a month to discuss a book, in a safe and quiet environment.

Book-club is open to all year levels, so if you love reading we would love to see you there!

On Tuesday, we held our very first library book-club session on The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. Unfortunately, we had slightly reduced numbers due to Year 7 PASE and senior exams. However, we still managed to have a great discussion!

For our next (and last for 2019) book-club session on Tuesday 10th December, it was decided that we will be reading A Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.
