Library News

Have you seen our new library space?  It certainly is an impressive space and will only become more “wow’ once we actually take over with our shelving, soft furnishings and books! Over the last 8 weeks we have been dealing with furniture companies and quotes and have locked in a trusted company Furnware to meet our needs. We are excited with the proposal they have  designed and look forward to it becoming real in Term 2!

It’s BOOK FAIR Time!!

Christ Our Holy Redeemer School will be hosting a Lamont Book’s Book Fair in Week 2 & 3 of Term 2.  This is a family and Australian run company based in Hallam, Victoria.

A Book Fair is an opportunity to purchase quality literature for your children or friends.  All students will have preview times in their Library lessons during week two. Students will bring home a wish list to discuss with you about them purchasing one or more of their selected books.  Parents are also invited to preview the books from Friday 24th April before or after school until the following Friday morning May 1st. Our Book Fair will be held in our new library space.

Please note there is no obligation to buy but our school does receive a generous commission in the form of books to add to our library.  More information in week one of Term 2.

Library Borrowing

We are opening up borrowing to students this Friday and next week in light of the uncertainty with COVID19 and possible/ if any school closure.  Classes will be timetabled on Friday to borrow up to a collection of books. All students will need their library bag as this is a school expectation as it does help towards care of our books between home and school.

Here is a little preview of some furniture that will be in our new library!

The countdown is on.
