school council

school council 2020

Last night our school council met for the first and special school council meeting after our school council nomination process. The first task of the night was to elect our office bearers (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer), followed by a review of our subcommittee reports and a detailed discussion on how our school and council can support the community during and after COVID-19. Below is a letter from Sam Cohen, our school council president, with a summary of the meeting and a message to our community.

a message from our community events team

For so many of us, our wonderful Brunswick North West community is what makes our school so unique, distinctive and special to us. Sadly, the turmoil that we are all facing has already and will continue to significantly impact our wonderful community. However, in this time of unprecedented challenges – hope, joy, laughter, comfort and support are needed more than ever.

This will be the primary focus of the Community Events Team for the remainder of 2020.

We are currently discussing creative ways we can maintain our connection despite our physical isolation. Sadly, Trivia Night is canceled as are the Plant & Produce Markets that were to be held in Term 2. Despite not knowing what the months ahead hold, we are committed to providing an event later in 2020 at which we can reconnect in a uniquely BNW way of merriment!

In the meantime, we intend to use this space to share ideas, provide a laugh, tunes to dance to and a shout out to the businesses within our community. If you would like to be included in our BNW Yellow Pages so we can ‘spend with you’ please email CET@brunswicknwps.vic.edu.au

Take care,

The Community Events Team

communication survey

The Communications Working Party is seeking your feedback on the way Brunswick North West Primary School (BNW) communicates with the school community. We are working with school staff to make sure that communications between the school and parents/carers are clear, consistent and efficient. We will use this information to help the school to streamline and enhance its communications with the school community.

This survey is anonymous and should take around 5–10 minutes.
