Milgate Fete

Sunday 25 November

What an incredible day!

It was a brilliant community event bringing both the Milgate and Manningham communities together. With so many things to do and see, children and adults were entertained throughout the day. The Manningham M Factor was certainly a highlight featuring acts in an all-inclusive, all-ability series of performances. From the excellent auditionees to the outstanding finalists, everyone performed with passion and enthusiasm.

The children (and big kids) enjoyed the rides, slides and fun activities that were running throughout the day with so many different options to choose from. The silent auction and art auction were both a huge success with some bidding wars on the class art pieces that saw one piece sell for over $250! There was food and drinks in abundance ready to tantalise the tastebuds of all hungry and thirsty fete goers.

‘Dunk-A-Teacher’ was a hilariously funny fundraising initiative where students could either donate to save a teacher or dunk a teacher. Five lucky teachers, Ms Mierisch, Mr Mander, Mr Wilkinson, Mrs Almatrah and Mr Hunt were dunked in spectacular fashion!

We would like to extend an enormous thank you to everyone involved in making the Milgate Fete such a success. There is an incredible amount of work involved in the organising of an event of this calibre and it is the work of our amazing fete volunteers that made it all possible. Thank you to the Fete Committee that began the organisation of the fete back in 2017. They have dedicated endless hours to the school and we are immensely grateful to have such a strong parent community with such commitment. We would also like to thank each and every volunteer on the day including our supportive and dedicated teachers, parents, grandparents and family friends. We would also like to acknowledge all our very generous sponsors of the event.

Parent Information Night | Foundation 2019

Monday 26 November

We held a Foundation Parent Information Evening for families with children starting Foundation in 2019.

Our Foundation teachers presented to parents what to expect as part of the learning program, how to support learning at home and how best to prepare their children for the first week of their formal schooling.  Following the excellent presentation from teachers, parents were able to meet their child’s teacher for 2019.

Helpers Morning Tea

Monday 3 December | 10:30am - 11:30am

All helpers who have assisted the school in any way this year are invited to the Helpers Morning tea  in the staffroom. We want to say thank you to all the parents, grandparents, mentors and helpers for their assistance throughout the year as it is really appreciated by all staff and students. We could not run the school without the help from our wider community working in partnership with us to provide the best education for our students.
