SSV State Tee ball
On Wednesday 11th September the boys Tee ball team travelled to Waverley Softball Centre to compete in the SSV State Tee ball Championships. The boys had performed amazingly well to make it to the State Finals, which placed them in the top 8 schools in Victoria. The boys played 3 games in their pool and defeated all 3 teams (Marymeade PS, Strathmore Nth PS & Tylden PS). This then placed them at the top of their pool and they went through to the Grand Final against Bass Valley PS. The boys played an outstanding game in the grand final and defeated Bass Valley PS, 14 runs to 5 runs. Well done boys on your outstanding efforts throughout the Tee ball season and even more impress they were undefeated throughout the season. You should all be extremely proud of what you have achieved and to be ranked No. 1 in Victoria is an amazing effort. Once again many thanks to all the parents who supported the boys throughout the games we played. You support and assistance is greatly appreciated by both myself and the boys.
Templestowe District Athletics
On Thursday 12th September we had 60 students compete at the Templestowe District Athletics Championships at George Street Aths Track. The Milgate students had a great day at the track with many students placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their events.

Walk 2 School Month
At the beginning of Term 4, during the month of October, it is “Walk 2 School Month”. It would be terrific to see as many students as possible coming to and from school by an active mode of transport. Please remember that walking part of the way is OK. Therefore if you cannot walk all the way to and from school, then get the person who drops you off at Milgate to park a little further away and walk the rest of the way. This will also help in reducing the number of cars around the school at drop off and pick up times.
Every Wednesday during October we will be having Crazy Sock Days to promote Walk to School. The students are all encouraged to wear colourful or crazy socks on these days.
There will be a number of incentives and prizes on offer throughout “Walk 2 School Month”, some of which include:
- 1 x Garmin Vivofit
- 5 x $30 Rebel Vouchers
- 4 x $50 Rebel Vouchers
