Pivot Surveys - Building Teacher Excellence through Student Feedback

Teachers at DSC are passionate about creating a vibrant and engaging learning culture for our students. As a college, we value student voice and agency. During the next two weeks, DSC will be using a tool called Pivot Surveys which is designed to get real feedback from students about the learning culture that exists in our classrooms. This survey is completely anonymous. The survey collects data on students’ perceptions of teaching effectiveness. Staff will reflect on students responses and establishing a teaching practice goal (just like students set goals) to drive a positive change and growth in our school’s teaching practice.

To ensure students are not overloaded with too many surveys we have allocated only 1 to 2 classes per teacher. We appreciate the student’s feedback in helping us to better our learning culture at DSC and alternatively improving students’ outcomes.

Sustainable School Shop - Secondhand Uniforms

More than 200 families at the school per year use the Sustainable School Shop service for buying and selling second-hand uniforms, items that are listed for sale to sell.  More items for sale are needed as there are far more buyers than there are sellers. If you have items you no longer need please list them for sale.

The items you list for sale will appear in the secondhand uniform Stocktake Report that is regularly sent to families. Given it is the beginning of the school year, this is a busy uniform trading time.
