Year 7 ROBOTICS

Year 7 STEP Robotics has finished its five week run with an exciting Robot wars tournament. The students spent several hours creating and refining the perfect battle-bot before unleashing it into the arena to test its skills against the rest of the competition. After several rounds of spinning, flipping and hammering, the worthy winners were Abi Arculus and Amelia Watterson.  Well done!!!

Year 7 STEP

Our Year 7 STEP students have been really busy lately Dissecting Flowers, Hearts and doing some Forensics!

Who knew that a Flower had so many important parts to it?  They dabbled into Forensics with some Fingerprinting and some Blood Typing.

How many characteristics can you see in your fingerprints?  Do you have tented Arches? Or Whorls? They answered these questions and more!

Year 9 ROBOTICS

Year 9 STEP Robotics finished 2021 with a two part final, played over two weeks. The students created robots that had to navigate their way around four tracks of increasing complexity with obstacles such as speed bumps, see-saws and water bottles to slow their progress. The competition was tight with Nicholas Siacola being crowned a worthy winner by an impressed Principal David Russell.
