Book Fair and Market Place
What a big effort. Last Sunday the PA held the first ever Wantirna College Book Fair and Market place and what a day we had. Over 15,000 titles, all individually priced and placed out for sale in genre and alphabetically by title. The work involved was massive. Huge thank you to Heidi Slattery our PA president who took a germ of an idea and ran with it to develop something unique for our community. All stall holders in the market were members of our school community and connected with either current students or ex students. It was fantastic to be able to provide them with an opportunity to sell their wares, particularly after such a tough year.
Thank you also to Delia Campbell and Jess Rocca for organising the huge range of raffles prizes, there were 37 raffle hampers in all giving everyone there a significant opportunity to win something. The raffle was drawn in the afternoon by our local state members Nick Wakely and Jackson Taylor, and we thank them for their support of the school.
Our major sponsor was O'Briens Real Estate and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for the advertising, coffee cart and sausage sizzle in addition to the generous donation they made to the school. It's so lovely to see them getting behind our kids and we really appreciate the support.
Recognition also to the PA members and their families, SRC members and Michel Belm (Facilities Assistant) for all their hard work setting up, packing up and serving throughout the day. Dragging all those books in and out of storage, setting up and packing up was hard physical labour and there were certainly some sore bodies on Sunday afternoon.
Although we did not quite get the turn up we hoped for the achievement was massive and we are confident that this is the start of a new Wantirna College tradition.
Christmas Wine Fundraiser
With Christmas and New Years coming up what better way to celebrate and put the year that never was behind us. PA has organised these fun colourful labels to celebrate the return to life as we know it.

New Member Needed
Time to start thinking about 2022. We will sadly be losing some long term members of the PA and will be keen to get some newbies along. Its a great way to stay engaged with the school (even when your kids are pushing you away), developing some new friendships and having some fun. Start thinking about it now, it will be next year before we know it.
