Grade 1T Maths Party

To celebrate our excellent efforts and progression in maths this year 1T, along with the other Grade 1 classes threw a maths party.

Using our learnings of maths throughout the year we spent 3 weeks planning the day. We tallied our favourite party games and graphed it and we wrote invitations using our knowledge of calendars and dates. We added up the cost of the party essentials we needed, which used our skills in adding, multiplication and understanding the value of money. Finally, we needed to use our skills in division to share lolly bag items equally and used skip counting to create party decorations.

We then had a great day playing maths and party games and had a lovely lunch with all the Grade 1 students. All students were happy to receive a certificate and lollypop for their efforts.
