Year 3 and 4 - Chicken Lifecycles

This week the students have been continuing the learning around the life cycle of a chicken. They are currently writing an information report on hatching chickens which they will be presenting to their classes later this week.

During the weekend we are 'egg-cited' to announce the arrival of the newest chicken (yet to be named) and Nugget who was very happy to have a friend! We now have two healthy chicks that the 3/4's have been looking after by giving them water and food as well as making sure their pen is clean and warm.

Students have been enjoying watching the chickens live on Google Meet during recess and lunchtime eating times.

Year 5 and 6

Teamwork

This week, students in 5/6 have had a big focus on friendship, teamwork and collaboration. Students have spent time competing in teams, practiced speaking respectfully, managing conflict and problem solving. We have seen a big improvement in our collaboration skills and have even made some new friendship connections to prepare for next year!

My Money, My Choice

This week students have revised their knowledge about income, employment, tax and super. Students have been introduced to their upcoming project - being a financial advisor! Students are going to become an 'expert' in one field and offer some researched advice to students and staff. We look forward to receiving some high-quality financial info from our advisors over the next few weeks.
