OECD Career Readiness project explores longitudinal data relating to young people, employment outcomes and how they think about, explore and experience their future and the world of work. The recently published “How youth explore, experience and think about their future: A new look at effective career guidance” is a highly visual, easy read. It covers valuable career activities including opportunities for career exploration and experience in a workplace setting. And also notes that students with clear, high and considered job ambitions can anticipate better outcomes.

“Did you know: In Australia, students that are career aligned at 15/16 earned 8% more at 25/26 compared to average earnings.”

Nine new insights have been established from this recent report.
