EAL VISIT ACMI

ACMI Excursion

On a warm February morning, year 12 EAL students gathered at Federation Square in the city. They were there to visit The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI).  First, students watched Rachel Perkin’s film Mabo. Then they listened to a thought provoking analysis of the film presented by Susan Bye.

After lunch students were able to visit the Screen Worlds exhibition to learn about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in film. They also visited the Dreaming in Coloursection of this exhibition which focussed on  Indigenous representation on screen from the 1970s until today.
