From Community Hub

Mai Nguyen

Just over half way through Term 4, the Community Hub has seen a lot of wonderful participants in a range of diverse, informational and inclusive activities and programs.

Playgroup

Playgroup has grown into a busy, exciting and educational space for adults and children to learn and grow together.  The sandpit has been a great hit for the families as it supported children in building creativity, fine motor skills and social skills.  Inside, a range of activities were also set up including shaving cream, colouring in and musical instruments for children to explore.

Mindfulness Hour

Each week, families get to come together to take part in activities that focus on mindfulness and stress management.  This also provides a wonderful opportunity for people to come together to share stories and experiences.  Last week, parents and children came together to create some masterpieces on canvases!

The Garden

This program supported parents/caregivers to build stronger relationship and bond through play-based activities.  The final session last week was all about messy play with making playdough.  This was particularly useful for parents to have conversations with their children around new words, the senses as well as creativity.
